Since the masses are off enjoying the last weekend of the summer we won’t meet up today.  To celebrate the last weekend of summer fun I’m programming a pool workout that a Rescue swimmer introduced me to.  If you enjoy lap swimming, you won’t be disappointed.

WOD:  Lung Burners

250 yard warm up (10 lengths or five laps) freestyle

5x

25 yard sprint (first half of length above water stroke of choice, 2nd half under water)

25 yard easy stroke back

5x

25 yard sprint (first half of length under water, 2nd half stroke of choice on top of the water)

25 yard easy stroke back

Cash out

5 easy laps (down and back)

You’ll notice a difference between the laps starting above water and the laps starting under water.
